What you don’t see in the picture

They say a picture is worth a thousand words….BUT

Ever wondered what’s behind that smile in someone’s profile picture?

Guess what? It’s not all sunshine and rainbows.

It’s resilience, courage, and a determination not to quit.

It’s a series of whispered prayers and a relentless fight to remain hopeful.

To the single mom out there, juggling car repairs, kids’ future, college funds, and your own self-care – I see you.

You’re more than just that sparkling profile picture.

You’re the one up before the crack of dawn, whipping up breakfasts and packing lunches.

You get the kids ready, then drop them off at school – all before your workday has even started.

Ever scraped ice off your car, only to sprint back to the house, trip, and take a tumble? Yeah, that’s you.

Running on fumes, but you keep pushing.

Despite the ache in your heart, you still manage to paint on a brave smile.

You’re the one juggling homework checks, dinner prep, bill sorting and laundry loads.

Bedtime means devotions and prayers that none of the kids’ doctor appointments slipped through the cracks.

Your hair? A wild, untamed mess, but you couldn’t care less. Every extra penny is a blessing.

Your drawers and pantry could use some organizing, but that’s a task for another day.

You’re a fighter.

You’re a survivor.

You’re a beacon of hope for your kids and for all of us who know your story.

So, here’s to you.

Keep going, keep fighting, and never lose that spark.

You got this, and remember, you’re not alone.

Keep going.

Keep smiling.

Keep showing up.

Keep trusting in the One who sees what’s behind that picture. Someone who reminds you that He’s got the whole world in His hands.

There is One who loves you with an everlasting love.

God told them, “I’ve never quit loving you and never will. Expect love, love, and more love! And so now I’ll start over with you and build you up again….

Jeremiah 31:3 (MSG)

Let’s remind everyone that behind every smile, there’s a story of strength and resilience.

Your friend in the journey,
